Introduction
A farmer’s labour does not end at planting and watering the crops; he must also gather the harvest into the barn for it to be profitable. Likewise, winning souls without ensuring their establishment in church is like leaving a ripe harvest in the field, vulnerable to destruction.
🔹 Proverbs 10:5 – A wise son gathers in the harvest; a lazy son lets it waste.
🔹 Matthew 12:30 – The harvest left in the field is at risk of being devoured.
🔹 2 Timothy 2:6 – A farmer is only rewarded when the harvest reaches the storehouse.
Today, we focus on how the ingathering of souls helps them realize their inheritance in Christ.
For the Realization of the Inheritance of New Converts in Christ
1️⃣ The Church is the Center of Illumination
📖 Psalm 73:17; Genesis 13:14-15
🔹 Psalm 73:17 – “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.”
🔹 Genesis 13:14-15 – “Lift up now thine eyes… for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it.”
📌 Our spiritual inheritance is only accessible to the extent that we have light. The church is where our understanding is opened, helping new converts see the fullness of God’s provision for them in Christ.
2️⃣ God Opens Our Eyes Through the Ministry of Teaching Priests
📖 2 Chronicles 15:3; Acts 8:26-35; Isaiah 30:20-21
🔹 2 Chronicles 15:3 – “Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.”
🔹 Acts 8:30-31 – The Ethiopian eunuch needed Philip to help him understand the Scriptures.
🔹 Isaiah 30:20-21 – “Thine eyes shall see thy teachers… and thine ears shall hear a word behind thee.”
📌 Spiritual inheritance is not automatic; it takes illumination through God’s Word. The church provides teaching priests who open the eyes of believers to their covenant rights in Christ.
Action Steps
✅ Encourage new converts to remain committed to church services and teachings.
✅ Help them develop a hunger for the Word through Bible study and mentorship.
✅ Connect them with mature believers who can disciple and guide them in the faith.
✅ Pray for their spiritual eyes to be opened to their inheritance in Christ.
Prayer Point
🙏 Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace to be committed to bringing souls into Your house. Open the eyes of every new convert to see and take full delivery of their inheritance in Christ. Amen!
