Introduction
A farmer’s labour is only profitable when the harvest is gathered. No matter how much effort is put into planting, watering, and nurturing crops, if the harvest is left in the field, it will be wasted.
🔹 Proverbs 10:5 – A wise son gathers in the harvest; a lazy son lets it waste.
🔹 Matthew 12:30 – The harvest left in the field is at risk of being devoured.
🔹 2 Timothy 2:6 – A farmer is only rewarded when the harvest reaches the storehouse.
Today, we focus on how failing to gather new converts into the church leads to wasted labour.
To Avoid Wasted Labuor
1️⃣ Until Our Fruits Abide, Our Reward is Not Guaranteed

🔹 John 4:35-36 – “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages…”
🔹 John 15:16 – “I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…”
📌 God does not just reward soul-winning; He rewards abiding fruits. If a soul is won but not established in church, the labour is incomplete.
2️⃣ Tireless Commitment to the Ingathering of Souls into the Kingdom is Wisdom that Makes Stars of Believers

🔹 Ecclesiastes 10:15 – “The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.”

🔹 Daniel 12:3 – “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
📌 Wisdom demands that we ensure every soul won is planted in the church and growing in faith. This is what makes believers shine as stars.

✅ Follow up on new converts until they are fully established in the church.
✅ Encourage and guide them through foundational teachings to strengthen their faith.
✅ Connect them with small groups, mentorship, and discipleship programs.
✅ Pray for grace to labour wisely, ensuring no soul is lost.
