π Scripture Reference: Mark 10:28-30
Introduction
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek and serve Him. No service in His Kingdom is in vain!
πΉ God does not ask the seed of Jacob to seek Him in vain β Isaiah 45:19
πΉ God is not looking for who to use but who to bless β Exodus 23:25-26
πΉ Kingdom stewardship is the covenant platform for the promotion of believers β Luke 19:12-13, 17-19
This week, our focus remains: Kingdom Advancement Endeavour is for Our Profiting β Mark 10:28-30
One of the most overlooked aspects of Kingdom advancement is follow-up. Winning a soul is important, but ensuring that the soul is established in the faith is just as crucial.
Jesus gave us the example of the Good Shepherd who goes after the lost sheep until it is found and secured (Luke 15:4-7).
The Follow-up Commandment
Follow-up is not just a church program; it is a divine mandate. Just as a newborn baby needs care and nourishment to grow, new converts and weak believers need spiritual guidance and encouragement to become strong in the faith.
1οΈβ£ Seeing Souls Saved and Established Carries the Same Cost. π Galatians 4:19; Colossians 4:12
πΉ In Galatians 4:19, Paul expressed his deep concern for the spiritual growth of the believers, saying, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.”
πΉ In Colossians 4:12, we see how Epaphras laboured in prayers for believers to be established in the will of God.
πΉ This means that follow-up requires intercession, love, and personal engagementβjust like soul-winning!
π Are you praying for the new converts and backsliders around you? Are you helping them grow?
2οΈβ£ We are Only Entitled to Wages as We Bring in the Harvest. π John 4:36
πΉ In John 4:36, Jesus said, “He that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal.”
πΉ This means that our Kingdom rewards are tied to our efforts in bringing people to church, discipling them, and ensuring they remain in Christ.
πΉ Just as a farmer only enjoys his harvest after bringing in the crops, believers only enjoy full Kingdom benefits when we actively gather souls into God’s house.
π If you want to experience divine promotion, commit to the work of follow-up!
3οΈβ£ The Multitude Brings Honour to the King. π Proverbs 14:28; Luke 14:23; 1 Samuel 2:30
πΉ Proverbs 14:28 states, “In the multitude of people is the kingβs honour.”
πΉ Jesus commanded in Luke 14:23, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
πΉ In 1 Samuel 2:30, God says, “Them that honour me I will honour.”
This means that when we actively invite, encourage, and compel people to remain in church, we are honoring God, and in return, He honors us.
